HPMC achieves Rs 111 Cr turnover, Rs 6.65 Cr profit; New initiatives for farmers

• HPMC recorded an annual turnover of Rs 111 crore and a net profit of Rs 6.65 crore for FY 2024-25, announced by Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi.
• A sub-committee, chaired by HPMC Vice Chairman Surender Sharma, was formed to develop a marketing plan and explore revenue generation from underutilised assets.
• Approval was given for establishing a grading and packing line with a Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage facility in Chopal for apple growers.
• Minister directed exploring Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for payments to orchardists under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for greater transparency.
• Provision of five Horticulture Mineral Oil (HMO) drums per eligible small and marginal farmer was approved, subject to revenue record verification.
