Hyderabad Task Force Busts Tea Adulteration Racket, One Held

• Hyderabad Task Force apprehended Jagannath Bishnoi for allegedly mixing synthetic colours and cocopeat with low-quality tea dust.
• The accused used cocopeat, jaggery water, and synthetic food colours (Sunset Yellow, Tartrazine Orange) to adulterate tea powder.
• For 1 kg of adulterated tea, 450g low-quality tea dust, 500g low-quality tea granules, and 50g colour-mixed cocopeat were used.
• Officials seized 120 kg of colour-mixed tea powder, 30 kg natural tea powder, 138 kg cocopeat mix, and other materials.
• Police advised the public to buy tea from reputed sellers and warned food business operators of stringent legal action for adulteration.
