• Regions affected include West Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
• Maximum temperatures in March are expected to be normal to below normal in many areas, excluding the northeast, east, and parts of the Western Himalayas, central and peninsular India.
• Normal rainfall across India in March is cited as a reason for the potentially lower temperatures early in the period.
