IMFA Acquires Tata Steel's Ferro-Chrome Plant in Odisha for Rs 707 Crore
•Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) has completed the acquisition of Tata Steel Limited’s ferro-chrome plant at Kalinganagar, Jajpur district, Odisha.
•The transaction is valued at Rs 707.26 crore, including a base consideration of Rs 610 crore, GST, and net working capital.
•The acquisition was entirely funded through IMFA's internal accruals.
•The acquired facility, spread across 115 acres, has four furnaces with a current production capacity of one lakh tonnes per annum (tpa).
•Capacity is expected to increase to 1.5 lakh tpa within a year after commissioning a partially built fifth furnace, positioning IMFA as India's largest ferro-chrome producer.
