Indian Auto Retail Soars 13.3% to Record 2.96 Crore Units in FY26: FADA

• India's auto retail sales surged by 13.3% to an all-time high of 2,96,71,064 units in FY26, driven by GST 2.0 implementation.
• Passenger vehicle sales increased by 13% to 47,05,056 units, while two-wheeler sales grew 13.4% to 2,14,20,386 units.
• Three-wheeler and commercial vehicle sales also saw significant growth of 11.68% and 11.74% respectively.
• FADA President C S Vigneshwar highlighted the structural soundness of the growth, attributing it to improved affordability and diversifying powertrain mix.
• The industry remains cautiously optimistic, monitoring the potential impact of the West Asia conflict on fuel prices, supply chains, and consumer confidence.
