Indian Overseas Bank Expands Startup Banking, Launches IOB Gram Sweekar

• Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) celebrated its 90th Foundation Day by strengthening its startup banking network.
• IOB inaugurated new 'Startup Banking' branches in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, following the success of its Chennai branch.
• The bank also launched 'IOB Gram Sweekar', a rural outreach program adopting 90 Gram Panchayats in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
• The 'Gram Sweekar' program aims to enhance credit delivery, financial literacy, and access to financial products in rural areas.
• IOB's Chennai Startup Banking branch, launched in June 2024, supported 33 startups and handled over Rs 100 crore in business by January 2026.
