Insurance Consultant Loses Rs 71 Lakh in Crypto Investment Fraud

•A 42-year-old insurance consultant from Mumbra, Thane, was defrauded of over Rs 71 lakh.
•Cyber fraudsters lured him into a cryptocurrency trading investment scheme.
•The victim invested between August 2025 and March 2026 through cash and online transactions.
•The accused failed to return the invested amount, misappropriating the funds.
•A case has been registered against six persons under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita; no arrests made yet.
