IOC assures no LPG shortage in Northeast; production uninterrupted despite West Asia conflict

•Indian Oil Corp (IOC) assures no LPG cylinder shortage in the Northeast, supplying 85% of the market.
•All nine bottling plants in the Northeast are producing at maximum capacity, sourcing input from Assam refineries.
•Government prioritizes LPG production for households and transport, diverting gas from non-priority sectors due to West Asia conflict.
•Commercial LPG supplies (19 kg cylinders) stopped from March 10, except for hospitals and educational institutions.
•Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas directed refineries to maximize LPG output and extended refill booking to 25 days.
