JIL commissions Rs 1,100cr advanced metal coating line in Bengal

• Jindal (India) Limited (JIL) has commissioned a state-of-the-art advanced metal coating line at its Ranihati manufacturing complex in Howrah, West Bengal.
• The project involved an investment of Rs 1,100 crore and marks a key milestone in the company’s downstream capacity expansion.
• The new line is expected to increase JIL's production of value-added coated steel products by about 60% to nearly 0.3 million metric tonnes.
• Revenue is projected to grow by around 20% in FY26, supported by higher volumes and an improved product mix.
• These products cater to sectors like infrastructure, construction, white goods, solar mounting structures, and premium roofing.
