Jindal Stainless Signs PLI 1.2 Agreement for Specialty Steel Expansion

• Jindal Stainless signed an agreement with the Ministry of Steel under the PLI 1.2 scheme for specialty steel.
• The PLI 1.2 scheme, launched by Union Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy, aims to add 8.7 million tonnes of upgraded alloy steel capacity.
• JSL will undertake capacity augmentation and add new capacities for value-added products, including specialized alloys and forged products.
• Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal stated the policy will make India self-sufficient in special steel grades.
