Kerala HC orders mediation for striking nurses, hospitals over pay dispute

Kerala High Court refers striking nurses' associations and private hospital managements to mediation to resolve a statewide pay dispute.

Justice Mohammed Nias C P directed nurses to defer their agitation and ensure members do not abstain from work until March 19.

Hospital managements are ordered to participate in the mediation process in good faith for an equitable resolution.
•
Mediation is scheduled for March 17 at the Kerala State Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court of Kerala.
•
United Nurses Association (UNA) initiated an indefinite strike demanding a basic salary of Rs 40,000 per month, affecting healthcare services.
