KITE Integrates Tamil, Kannada Content into Global Educational Software GCompris

•KITE, Kerala's state-run technology arm, has added Tamil and Kannada content to GCompris, a leading global educational entertainment software.
•This initiative significantly expands regional language support in GCompris, previously limited to Sanskrit and Malayalam.
•KITE developed 1,544 GUI translations and voice-overs in Tamil and 1,582 in Kannada, now approved by the KDE Community.
•The content, originally for KITE's Kalipetti ICT textbooks, is now globally available across platforms, including Google Play Store.
•Kerala leads in large-scale Free Software implementation for education, contributing locally developed resources to the global FOSS community.
