Ladakh Leaders Hail Wangchuk's Release, Demand Freedom for Others & Statehood

•Ladakh leaders welcomed climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's release from Jodhpur jail on Saturday.
•They demanded the immediate release of other detainees and withdrawal of cases against protestors.
•MP Mohamad Hanifa urged the government to accept demands for Ladakh's statehood and Sixth Schedule protection.
•Kargil-based politician Sajjad Kargili specifically called for the release of Deldan Namgial and Smanla Dorjey.
•Wangchuk was detained on September 26, 2025, after protests in Leh for statehood and Sixth Schedule inclusion.
