They demanded the immediate release of other detainees and withdrawal of cases against protestors.

MP Mohamad Hanifa urged the government to accept demands for Ladakh's statehood and Sixth Schedule protection.
•
Kargil-based politician Sajjad Kargili specifically called for the release of Deldan Namgial and Smanla Dorjey.
•
Wangchuk was detained on September 26, 2025, after protests in Leh for statehood and Sixth Schedule inclusion.
