Lucknow Metro East-West Corridor: First Tender Awarded for Phase 1B Expansion
- •Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) awarded the first construction-related consultancy contract for the Lucknow Metro East-West Corridor.
- •The contract, valued at Rs 15.90 crore, went to the joint venture of AYESA Ingenieria Arquitectura SAU and AYESA India Pvt Ltd as the lowest bidder for the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) role.
- •Line-2 (Phase 1B) is an 11.165-km corridor connecting Charbagh Railway Station to Vasant Kunj, featuring 12 stations and an estimated cost of Rs 5,801 crore.
- •The corridor will comprise an elevated section (4.286 km with 5 stations) and an underground section (6.879 km with 7 stations).
- •AYESA will be responsible for detailed design of civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and traction works for both elevated and underground sections, including a depot at Vasant Kunj.
