BHEL Secures ₹1,500 Crore SAIL Order for Burnpur Power Plant Project

• Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
• The order is for a captive power plant at SAIL's IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur, West Bengal.
• Valued between ₹1,200 crore to ₹1,500 crore (excluding GST), it was awarded via a global tender.
• BHEL will handle design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, and performance testing.
• The project is expected to be commissioned within 39 months from the contract's effective date.
