Man arrested for killing relative over pathway dispute in Belagavi

• A 36-year-old man, Rudrayya Basayya Uppinmath, was arrested for allegedly killing his relative Mahesh Basayya Uppinmath.
• The incident occurred in Dodawad village, Bailhongal taluk, Belagavi district, on March 17.
• The murder stemmed from a long-standing feud and a dispute over a pathway in front of their houses.
• The accused allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp agricultural weapon, striking his neck, after an argument near a chicken shop.
• Police apprehended the accused within a day of the crime.
