MP CM announces Rs 40/quintal bonus on wheat MSP; total Rs 2,625/quintal

•Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav announced a Rs 40 per quintal bonus for wheat procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP).
•This bonus is in addition to the existing MSP of Rs 2,585, bringing the total procurement price to Rs 2,625 per quintal.
•The state government has declared 2026 as 'Farmer Welfare Year'.
•The deadline for farmer registration for government wheat procurement has been extended from March 7 to March 10.
•Government aims to provide daytime electricity for irrigation to farmers, reducing difficulties faced at night.
