Mumbai Customs Seizes Rs 64 Cr Contraband, Four Arrested at CSMIA

• Mumbai Customs' Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) intercepted multiple drug smuggling attempts at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).
• Four passengers arriving from Bangkok were intercepted based on intelligence from APIS and Spot Profiling.
• Approximately 64.394 kg of suspected hydroponic weed, valued at Rs 64.394 crore, was recovered.
• One foreign national was among those apprehended, indicating a new modus operandi involving foreign nationals for large quantities.
• All four individuals have been arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985; CSMIA has seized over 1,330 kg of hydroponic weed in FY 2025-26.
