Mumbai Customs Seizes Rs 64 Cr Contraband, Four Arrested at CSMIA
•Mumbai Customs' Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) intercepted multiple drug smuggling attempts at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).
•Four passengers arriving from Bangkok were intercepted based on intelligence from APIS and Spot Profiling.
•Approximately 64.394 kg of suspected hydroponic weed, valued at Rs 64.394 crore, was recovered.
•One foreign national was among those apprehended, indicating a new modus operandi involving foreign nationals for large quantities.
•All four individuals have been arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985; CSMIA has seized over 1,330 kg of hydroponic weed in FY 2025-26.
