NDMC launches Rs 9.45 Cr project to upgrade Lodhi Colony's power network
•The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) launched a project to upgrade the electricity distribution network in Lodhi Colony, Southeast Delhi.
•Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Verma and New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj laid the foundation stone for the initiative.
•The Rs 9.45 crore project aims to modernise the ageing electrical system, addressing a sharp increase in power demand from 1 KW to 5-10 KW per household since the 1960s.
•Key components include installing 40 SCADA-compatible smart feeder pillars and laying over 28 km of various LT and 11 KV cables.
•The upgrade is expected to improve voltage stability, reduce outages, and enhance the overall efficiency of power supply in the area.
