NDMC launches Rs 9.45 Cr project to upgrade Lodhi Colony's power network

• The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) launched a project to upgrade the electricity distribution network in Lodhi Colony, Southeast Delhi.
• Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Verma and New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj laid the foundation stone for the initiative.
• The Rs 9.45 crore project aims to modernise the ageing electrical system, addressing a sharp increase in power demand from 1 KW to 5-10 KW per household since the 1960s.
• Key components include installing 40 SCADA-compatible smart feeder pillars and laying over 28 km of various LT and 11 KV cables.
• The upgrade is expected to improve voltage stability, reduce outages, and enhance the overall efficiency of power supply in the area.
