Nepal Police Bust Fake Travel Lottery Scam, Six Indians Arrested

Nepal police arrested seven people, including six Indian nationals, for operating a fake travel lottery scam.
•
The arrested individuals, primarily from Telangana, Hyderabad, were residing in Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur district.
•
Victims were lured with promises of winning lotteries for travel to Asia, Europe, and Africa through "Sheertel Holidays Pvt. Ltd."
•
The scam defrauded 328 Nepalese citizens of 27.65 million NPR under the guise of cheap holiday packages.
•
Police recovered 700,000 NPR cash, electronic devices, Indian SIM cards, and passports; further investigation is underway.
