Nepal rations LPG cylinders amid West Asia conflict, panic buying

•Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) began rationing LPG cylinders from Friday due to a demand surge.
•The move comes amid conflict in West Asia, leading to panic buying despite normal supplies from India.
•Bottling plants are now selling half-filled 7.1 kg cylinders, costing NRs 955 each.

बिहार की राजधानी पटना में भी गैस के लिए लोगों की कतारें लग रही हैं. इसी बीच शाहपुर थाना क्षेत्र के दाउदपुर में अनुमंडल प्रशासन और खाद आपूर्ति विभाग की टीम ने छापेमारी कर अवैध रूप से जमा किए गए गैस सिलेंडरों का बड़ा जखीरा बरामद किया. कार्रवाई के दौरान झोपड़ी नुमा मकान में छिपाकर रखे गए 111 घरेलू गैस सिलेंडर जब्त किए गए. बताया जा रहा है कि इन सिलेंडरों को कालाबाजारी और ब्लैक मार्केटिंग के लिए जमा कर रखा गया था, छापेमारी की सूचना मिलते ही गैस माफिया मौके से फरार हो गए. बरामद सभी सिलेंडरों को जब्त कर शाहपुर थाना लाया गया है, जहां आरोपियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर आगे की कार्रवाई की जा रही है.
