Odisha boosts stipends for Ayurvedic, Homeopathic PG students

• Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi announced a significant stipend hike for PG students in government Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic colleges.
• First-year PG stipends increased by 55% (Rs 31,000 to Rs 48,000), second-year by 62% (Rs 32,000 to Rs 52,000), and third-year by 67% (Rs 33,000 to Rs 55,000).
• These PG stipend increases will be effective from January 1, 2026.
• Stipends for house surgeons in these colleges also rose from Rs 17,000 to Rs 30,000, effective August 1 this year.
