Odisha CM Majhi opens India's first non-Navy water safety institute
- •Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the Odisha State Watermanship and Lifeguard Institute (OSWALI) near Konark.
- •OSWALI will provide training on watermanship, lifeguard skills, and coastal resilience for various forces and volunteers.
- •The institute, established at Rs 12 crore, is the first of its kind in India outside the Indian Navy's purview.
- •CM Majhi also laid the foundation for a scuba complex and inaugurated an 'eco-retreat' resort near Puri-Konark marine drive road.
