Palghar Excise Seizes Rs 52 Lakh Daman Liquor Smuggled into Maharashtra

• The Excise Department seized Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth over Rs 52 lakh.
• The liquor was being smuggled from the Union Territory of Daman into Maharashtra's Palghar district.
• Alcohol, including whisky and beer, was concealed under a large consignment of velvet wallpaper on a truck.
• The seizure was made on Friday morning in the Talasari area by a team led by Superintendent Ganesh Bargaje.
• The driver has been detained, and a case registered under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act at Talasari police station.
