PM Surya Ghar Yojana: Over 31 Lakh Households Benefit, 25 Lakh Solar Systems Installed

•Over 31,12,850 households have benefited under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana as of March 6, 2026.
•The scheme, launched in February 2024, aims to install rooftop solar systems in one crore households by March 2027.
•Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik informed Parliament about the scheme's progress.
•It is a demand-driven scheme for residential consumers with grid-connected electricity connections.
•A total of 63,26,125 applications have been received, and 25,02,217 rooftop solar systems installed across the country as of March 5, 2026.
