Powergrid Commissions Ramgarh-Bhadla III Line, Boosts Green Energy Evacuation

• Power Grid Corporation of India commissioned the 765 KV double-circuit Ramgarh-Bhadla III transmission line and Ramgarh sub-station in Rajasthan.
• The project, commissioned on February 12, facilitates power evacuation from large solar parks in Jaisalmer and Ramgarh to the national grid.
• A 4,000 MVA capacity sub-station was set up at Ramgarh, and 186 km of high-voltage transmission line was laid across the Thar desert.
• Powergrid's team used advanced construction technologies despite extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
• The commissioning enhances Rajasthan's transmission capacity, supports renewable energy integration, and supplies power to industrial centers.
