Pregnant Woman Trampled to Death by Wild Elephant in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum

A 30-year-old pregnant woman, Rani Boipai, was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Goilkera area of Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district.
•
The incident occurred on Thursday night in Kuida village when she came out of her home suspecting elephant movement.
•
Sujit Kumar, Officer-in-Charge of Goilkera police station, confirmed the elephant caught her with its trunk and killed her.
•
Authorities are investigating if this is the same tusker that claimed around 22 lives in January.
•
Senior forest department officials are looking into the matter.
