Punjab Announces Rs 52 Crore Flood Protection Plan for Anandpur Sahib

- •The plan aims to provide permanent solutions for areas historically affected by floods during monsoon season.
- •Works worth Rs 52 crore have been tendered and commenced, with physical construction to accelerate within two weeks; an additional Rs 30 crore in projects are planned.
- •Specific projects include 700-foot revetments at Burj (Rs 7 crore) and Ajauli (Rs 3.5 crore), and a 2,000-foot revetment at Lodhipur (Rs 9 crore).
- •Flood protection works are also underway or approved for Bhalan, Triveni Mandir, Nangran, and other villages, involving over 11,000 feet of revetment construction.
