Punjab Police Launches 'Operation Prahar-2' Against Wanted Criminals from Feb 10

•Punjab Police to launch 'Operation Prahar-2', a 72-hour statewide drive against wanted criminals, starting February 10.
•DGP Gaurav Yadav stated the operation aims to make Punjab safe and secure, deploying 12,000 officers in 2,000 teams.
•The initiative seeks to make Punjab crime and gangster-free, with zero tolerance for organized crime.
•Following 'Operation Prahar' on January 20, 5,290 arrests were made and 2,972 taken into preventive custody.
•Under 'Yudh Nashian Virudh', 34,000 FIRs registered, 45,000 arrests made, and 2,150 kg of heroin recovered since March 2025.
