Naik: 24 Lakh Households Get Rooftop Solar Under PM Surya Ghar

• Around 23.96 lakh households have installed rooftop solar systems, achieving 23.96% of the 1 crore target under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
• The scheme aims to cover 1 crore households with rooftop solar by FY 2026-27, with an outlay of Rs 75,021 crore.
• As of December 3, 2025, over 53.54 lakh applications were received, and 7075.78 MW of rooftop solar capacity has been installed in the residential sector.
• Quality is ensured through minimum technical specifications, DISCOM inspections, mandatory 5-year vendor maintenance, and third-party assessments of installations.
• Individual households receive central financial assistance (CFA) of Rs 30,000/kWp for the first 2 kWp and Rs 18,000/kWp for an additional 1 kWp, capped at 3 kWp.
