South Bengal to get light rain after long dry spell, IMD forecasts

IMD forecasts light to moderate rain in some south Bengal districts on Wednesday.
•
This comes after a long dry spell in the region since October.
•
Minimum temperatures across all southern districts will rise by two degrees Celsius.
•
Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, South and North 24 Parganas, Purba and Paschim Medinipur, and Jhargram are expected to receive rain.
•
Sub-Himalayan districts like Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, and Alipurduar also likely to see light rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
