Sudarsan Pattnaik to represent India at Contemporary Venice 2026 with unique 'Jugalbandi' art

Renowned Indian sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik will represent India at Contemporary Venice – 18th Edition in Italy.

His 'Jugalbandi' paintings, a fusion of color and sand on canvas, will be exhibited for the first time internationally.
•
Five of his works have been selected for the prestigious international show, running from March 6 to March 20.
•
The exhibition will be held at the historic Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, featuring artists from over 30 countries.
•
Pattnaik's artworks focus on themes of nature, harmony, and environmental responsibility, blending his roots in painting with his famous sand art.
