Telangana: Students Crowdfund for Drugs, Three Held for Ganja Peddling

• Eight students pooled money to buy drugs; three arrested for peddling ganja in Warangal and Peddapalli.
• EAGLE Force intercepted BTech and Intermediate students transporting 36.8 kg of ganja worth Rs 18.4 lakh from Odisha.
• Accused confessed to purchasing ganja at Rs 2,000 per kg from Odisha for personal use and illegal sale in Karimnagar and Hyderabad.
• This marks the fourth instance of the students procuring ganja between January 2025 and January this year.
• Anti-Drug Committees, families, and village elders failed to report the drug activities, allowing expansion into schools and colleges.
