Thane Gangrape Accused Nabbed in Pune After Year-Long Hunt

• Nagesh Keshav Gaikwad, 22, arrested in Pune after evading authorities for over a year in a Thane gangrape and robbery case.
• Gaikwad was part of a group that allegedly confined and sexually assaulted a woman in November 2024 under the pretext of offering her a job.
• The victim was lured to Mira Road, Thane, by Pawan Rajendra Prasad Sabbat, who, along with Dhanraj Chavan and Abhishek Pujari, allegedly sexually assaulted her and robbed her of valuables worth Rs 75,000.
• Sabbat also created a fake Instagram profile using the victim's name and uploaded her photos to harass her.
• Gaikwad confessed to his involvement; police previously arrested Sabbat, Chavan, and Pujari.
