Tripura CM announces 5% DA hike for govt employees, total now 41%

•Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha declared a 5% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees.
•The hike increases the total DA to 41% and will be applicable from April 1 for employees and pensioners.
•A total of 1,02,563 regular employees and 81,019 pensioners will benefit from this decision.
•The state government will incur an additional annual expenditure of Rs 500 crore to implement the hike.
•Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman criticized the CM for announcing the DA hike after the Finance Minister's budget speech.
