- •The fraud involved a Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) project in Malad, Mumbai.
- •Developer Nilesh Narendra Raghani invested Rs 5.15 crore based on a proposal for the Khothodongri SRA Society redevelopment project.
- •The accused failed to clear slum structures or project title; Raghani later discovered the plot ownership was with a charitable trust, not the accused's company.
- •The case has been transferred to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for further investigation.
