Undergarments Worth Rs 10,000 Stolen from Varanasi Shop; 3 Women Booked

Three women booked for allegedly stealing undergarments worth Rs 10,000 from a shop in Varanasi's Chetganj area.
•
The theft occurred on February 24 when the women allegedly stuffed items into their bags while the salesgirl was inside.
•
Shop owner Sudeep Singh detected the theft during stock verification and lodged a complaint with Chetganj police.
•
CCTV footage of the incident was submitted to the police, leading to the identification of one accused.
•
One accused, Sunita Soni, a former traders' association president, issued a statement denying knowledge of the theft by her companions.
