UP: Father-Son Duo Gets Life Imprisonment for 2018 Murder in Lakhimpur Kheri

•Virendra Singh and his son Layak Singh sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Ramesh Yadav.
•The crime occurred in Chaukhriya village, Lakhimpur Kheri, in 2018.
•District and Sessions Judge Shiva Kumar Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on each convict.
•Two others, Malti and Jandail, were acquitted in the case.
•A case was filed based on a complaint by Ramesh Yadav’s son under IPC sections 302, 34, 506, and the Arms Act.
