UP: Man gets life imprisonment for raping 8-year-old girl in Sonbhadra

•Dev Shah, 30, sentenced to life imprisonment by an Additional District Judge (POCSO) court in Sonbhadra.
•He was found guilty of raping an eight-year-old girl in 2022.
•Court imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the convict, with Rs 80,000 to be given to the survivor.
•Victim's father filed a complaint on June 13, 2022, after the girl was sexually assaulted on June 12.
•Accused had threatened the girl and asked her to claim a dog bite, but a doctor confirmed sexual assault.
