Vizag Port smashes 92-year record, handles 85M tonnes cargo in 345 days

• Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) achieved a record 85.07 million tonnes of cargo handling in just 345 days.
• This marks the highest ever cargo throughput in the Port's 92-year history.
• VPA Chairperson M Angamuthu attributed the milestone to dedicated team efforts and effective stakeholder coordination.
• The Port aims to achieve an ambitious target of 90 million tonnes by the end of the current financial year.
• VPA also expressed confidence in reaching 100 million tonnes of cargo handling by the financial year 2026-27.
