Govt Scraps NA Permit for Farm Land Construction; New Process Explained

The government has canceled the 'non-agricultural use' (NA) permission requirement from the District Collector for construction on agricultural land.
•
Citizens now need a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from the local Gram Panchayat or Municipal Council.
•
Official construction permission must then be obtained from the District Collector, which will be considered equivalent to NA use approval.
•
The new decision applies to both Occupancy Class-1 and Occupancy Class-2 lands.
•
Construction permissions, including integrated NA approval, will be granted through the online Building Plan Management System (BPMS).
