Two-Wheelers Lead Auto Retail Growth in January 2026 as Rural Demand Boosts PVs

• India's vehicle retail market grew nearly 18% year-on-year in January 2026, driven by PV and two-wheeler segments.
• Overall vehicle retail increased by 17.61% to 2,722,558 units, attributed to post-GST momentum and healthy rural cash flows.
• Passenger vehicle retail rose 7.22%, with rural markets growing 14.43% compared to urban growth of 2.75%.
• Two-wheeler retail surged 20.82% to 1,852,870 units, with strong growth in both rural (19.77%) and urban (22.19%) markets.
