GDAI Appoints Epic Games India Leader Shruti Verma as CEO, Expands Leadership

• The Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) has appointed Shruti Verma, former head of Epic Games India, as its new Chief Executive Officer.
• GDAI also added Sean (Hyunil) Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, to its Board and named Apurva Chandra, former Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, as Advisor to the Board.
• These appointments aim to strengthen governance, policy engagement, and institutional capacity as India's video gaming ecosystem scales.
• The leadership expansion aligns with GDAI’s Vision 2035, which seeks to position India as a global game development hub through talent skilling, IP creation, and regulatory frameworks.
• The new leadership will focus on building a cohesive, future-ready framework that aligns policy, industry, and innovation for a responsibly governed, innovation-led gaming ecosystem.
