Bengaluru Relaunches Citywide Towing Crackdown on Illegal Parking

Bengaluru has restarted towing operations for illegally parked vehicles across the city.
•
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced the crackdown to combat traffic congestion.
•
Two towing vehicles will be deployed to each municipal corporation, working with police.
•
Old or abandoned vehicles on public roads will be moved to designated dump yards like Bellahalli and Sondekoppa.
•
Government is considering area-specific parking time limits, decided by local authorities and MLAs.
