Karnataka BJP MLA Byrathi Basavaraj Arrested in Realtor Murder Case

• BJP MLA Byrathi Basavaraj arrested by CID at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
• Arrest is in connection with the murder of 40-year-old realtor Shivaprakash, also known as Biklu Shivu.
• Shivaprakash was hacked to death in Bharathi Nagar on July 15, 2025.
• Basavaraj, a former minister, is named as the fifth accused in the FIR.
• The murder reportedly stemmed from a long-standing property dispute dating back to February 2025.
