• A 75-year-old woman, Lakshmidevi, was allegedly assaulted by her son, Prakash, with a walking stick during a property dispute in Jayanagar 9th Block, Bengaluru.
• The incident occurred when Prakash began repair work on their house, which Lakshmidevi questioned due to an ongoing civil dispute over family assets.
• Lakshmidevi sustained bleeding injuries to her head and hands; her other son, Ramesh, filed the complaint as she was unable to give a statement.
• The family owns multiple undivided properties, including the house, a factory in Bilekalli, and land in Shira, Tumakuru district, with a civil dispute pending since 2016.
• Prakash has been booked under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 351(2), and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita; investigation is underway.
