Class 12 Student, Arts Graduate Held Over Illegal C-Section After Woman Dies Post-Delivery

• A Class 12 student and an Arts graduate were arrested in Ambedkar Nagar, Lucknow, for allegedly performing an illegal C-section.
• The surgery, conducted at an unregistered Navjeevan Hospital, led to the death of Priyanka, a woman during childbirth.
• Accused Yogesh Verma (32) and Shubham Vishwakarma (19) lacked medical qualifications but performed surgeries for years, charging Rs 3,000-Rs 5,000.
• Priyanka suffered excessive bleeding post-surgery, never regained consciousness, and died after being referred to Lucknow.
• An FIR has been lodged, and investigations are underway to find the absconding hospital operator, Ruby, and identify other hospitals where the accused performed surgeries.
