Finance Ministry expected to approve $25 million for International Solar Alliance's Africa Solar Facility (ASF).

India's funding will leverage additional funds from Nigerian institutions and the World Bank.
•
ASF aims to catalyze 28-30 times leverage on local capital for distributed renewable energy across Africa.
•
Goals include deploying 1.6 GW solar capacity, reducing 1.2 million tons CO2, and 2 million new connections.
•
ISA also launched Green Hydrogen and Storage Start-up Challenge 2026 to support innovative startups.
