EU looks at sanctioning Russian oil 

As evidence mounts of Russian atrocities and war crimes, the EU finds more political will to sanction Russian oil in its next sanction package. The European group has already sanctioned coal from the country, but fears of an oil sanction asymmetrically causing shocks to countries like Germany and the Netherlands have halted sanctions on oil so far.
