Balaji Krishnamurthy: Uber's New Indian-Origin CFO Takes Helm on February 16

  • Balaji Krishnamurthy, an Indian-origin executive, will assume the role of Uber's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on February 16, 2026, replacing Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah.
  • Krishnamurthy has been with Uber for six years, currently serving as Vice President, Strategic Finance and Investor Relations.
  • His annual base salary will be $600,000 (around Rs 5.42 crore), along with eligibility for the company’s executive bonus program.
  • He joined Uber in 2019 as a senior manager in investor relations and previously worked at Goldman Sachs, Irevna, and iTrust Financial Advisors Pvt Ltd.
  • Krishnamurthy holds an MBA from MDI Gurugram and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
